Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Brooke Fisher and I love teaching at Compass Elementary School. I grew up in Liberty, MO and graduated from William Jewell College in 2001 with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I also have a Master's Degree in Early Childhood and Family Development from Missouri State University. I taught for 7 years from 2001-2008 (mostly in kindergarten), then spent 9 years at home with my daughters. In 2017-2018, I served as the Director of Second Friends Preschool, but quickly realized how much I missed teaching kindergarten. I returned to the classroom in 2018 (my first year at Compass) and I am so glad I did. I love that I get to work with students as they begin their educational journey. Five- and six-year-olds are the best! I live in Liberty with my husband Hadley, our daughters Grace (19) and Kate (16) and our darling Chihuahua Sienna. In my spare time, I love reading, shopping, attending events at the theater, visiting the beach, and spending time with my family and friends.

I look forward to partnering with parents and colleagues to provide my students with a successful year full of learning and fun. It is my goal to create a loving classroom community where students make friends and connections, feel empowered to learn, and are excited to come to school. I will do my best for your child every day, and we will work hard as a team. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions or concerns. I am here to help make this a smooth transition.
