Welcome to Compass Elementary! I am excited to have you join our class this year.

I have been teaching in the Platte County R-3 School District since 2006. I have taught 3rd grade, 4th grade, and special education. Special education has been my passion for many years, so I am thrilled to be able to work with and learn from my students each day. I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology, Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education, Masters of Education in School Law, and a Masters of Education in Elementary Leadership.

Platte City is such a wonderful, close-knit community that I could not imagine raising my daughters anywhere else! My oldest daughter, Adelaide, graduated in 2026 and attends the University of Missouri-Columbia. Adelaide is a phenomenal writer and is studying journalism. My youngest daughter, Camryn is still a PCR-3 Pirate. She is a competitive swimmer and so I visit many of the pools in our area (along with some of our bordering states). We have three cats and one dog. Between my girls and my animals, I am busy! Although I have recently found a new hobby in collecting tropical plants.
