I'm Jason Ruffcorn, and I am one of the Physical Education teachers at Compass Elementary. I received my BS degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. I'm currently attending Avila University in KC to obtain my MA in Education with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction. This will be my first year teaching with Platte County, and I'm more than excited to start the school year! I am a father of four and husband of 14 years. My wife, Chelsey Ruffcorn, teaches kindergarten at Siegrist, my oldest daughter Micaela (13), attends PCMS, my next oldest, Kensley (10), attends Siegrist, and my two youngest, Ryker (4) and Ashlynn (2 mo.) attend my mother-in-laws in-home day care. We have become a full pirate family, and I am excited to start the school year! Go Pirates!!
